Kathi Joutsie, Owner
I have lived and worked in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan since 1986. My employers
have included Sault Area Schools(8yrs), Hometown Tax Pros(15yrs), and Precision
Edge Surgical Products(7yrs). While my time at each of these employers was a great learning experience and my work was enjoyable, I was still looking for a sense of personal satisfaction. When I had the opportunity in October of 2014 to go in a new direction, starting a pet business in the Sault was the perfect solution. I had been volunteering at the Chippewa County Animal Control Shelter as a dog walker for most of that year, getting to know and love the dogs there (even the ones that get overlooked because of their sometimes snarly behavior). I became interested in learning various methods of dog-handling through books and online classes, and I have joined in with group classes given by local trainers. I believe in a quiet, gentle approach with animals. Every client dog is treated with respect and dignity! Leash training where needed is given to regular walking clients at no extra charge. Nothing gives me more joy than enriching my client dogs' days with a walk and giving them the attention and love they all seem to crave. I learn so much from working with animals, and I am confident that you will find my services for your pet to be not only professional, but caring and compassionate, too.
