Dog walking is a great way to begin working in the pet industry! Flexible hours, a wide variety of dog types, and enjoying the outdoors make this ideal part-time work for an active person wanting year-round employment. Happy Hound's approach considers safety for dog and handler above all else, and then strives for an enriching experience for each individual dog. You will learn how to develop an appropriate walking route, navigate tricky situations, and master a simple method for leash training the dogs that may need help walking nicely. Training is provided at 1 - 1 1/2 hours per day until sufficient skills are acquired. Pay is per dog walked, plus mileage between appointments. Applicants with or without experience in dog walking are welcome.
